2018 Kia Stinger Schaumburg IL
Earlier this year, Kia introduced a vehicle that we are extremely excited about, as it is essentially the brand’s first sports car. Plenty of its vehicles have been and are sporty in their own right, but Kia has never had a true sport sedan like the upcoming 2018 Kia Stinger in Schaumburg IL. When it was introduced back at the North American International Auto Show in January, it was awarded a couple of titles for design and has been one of the most anticipated vehicles of the year.
While design was obviously the focal point of the vehicle when it was introduced, we now know that it has plenty of performance to keep up with its reputation as the brand’s first sports car. This is thanks to two different engine options and plenty of additional performance features.

Specs & Features of the 2018 Kia Stinger
We’ve listed a few of the key specifications and features that have already been confirmed for the 2018 Stinger in the table above, but thought we’d dive a bit deeper into a few of the performance features that we know the Stinger will offer. You can already see the two engine options in the table above, including their horsepower, so we thought we’d touch on the other things. For instance, either engine is tethered to an 8-speed automatic transmission that offers 5 different driving modes.
In addition, the powertrain is bolstered by a Centrifugal Pendulum Absorber for a torque converter, and a Dynamic Torque Vectoring System on models with all-wheel drive. As for the Stinger’s chassis, in addition to the Brembo brakes – which feature quad-piston front calipers and dual-piston rear calipers – the Stinger offers Dynamic Stability Damping Control and Rack-mounted Motor Driven Power Steering, both of which offer 5 modes like the transmission. As for suspension, the Stinger is equipped with MacPherson in the front, and multi-link in the rear. And to wrap everything up nicely, the Stinger will be outfitted with 19” alloy wheels and performance tires.
If you’re as excited for the 2018 Kia Stinger as we are, be sure to schedule a test drive right here on our website. As soon as they become available, we’ll get you behind the wheel so you can test out Kia’s first sports car for yourself.
